Veterans Transportation

Highly Rural Transportation Grants (HRTG) is a grant-based program that helps Veterans in highly rural areas travel to VA or VA-authorized healthcare facilities. This program provides grant funding to Veteran Service Organizations and State Veterans Service Agencies to provide transportation services in eligible counties. The counties eligible for FREE transportation in this area are Butte, Corson, Custer, Fall River, and Perkins Counties. Veterans with residential addresses in these counties call PHT at (605) 642-6668 to schedule a ride. The call needs to be at least two days in advance, it can be up to two weeks or more before the scheduled appointment.
